Summer is a great time for romance and whether you’re looking for a fun summertime companion or a long-term relationship, there are many pieces of advice you should keep in mind that will lead you to Ms. Right.
And remember, it doesn’t matter if this stuff doesn’t come easy to you: don’t worry if you’re not that guy who brings home flowers “just because,” perfectly matches his board shorts and flip flops and expertly prepares filet mignon. You don’t have to be. There’s hope for all in the search for Ms. Right. So, listen up:
Tip #1: Plan a sunset picnic
Summer is the perfect time to cuddle up with your lady to watch the sunset. Pack a blanket, picnic dinner, and bottle of wine and go on the search for the best place in town to watch the sun go down.
Tip #2: Cook together
Even if you’re not the world’s best cook, choose something easy and create a meal with your honey. Studies show that interactive activities like this can help couples grow closer. Start with something easy like pasta or pizza and make a night of it!
Tip #3: Make the little things count
Being romantic doesn’t always have to be a huge gesture. Instead, do something small for your lady like making her a cup of coffee in the morning, picking flowers from the garden, or buying her a small gift.
Tip #4: Offer to run an errand for her
This is an especially great offer if your lady has been stressed lately. Offer to pick up her dry cleaning, grab a couple things at the grocery store, or anything else small you can do to help ease her stress.
Tip #5: Take a long drive
No matter where you are this summer, sometimes it’s nice to escape and take a drive with your special someone. Take a leisurely drive to a nearby park or area attraction but don’t set a time frame. A lot of the fun comes from having the whole day to drive and stop wherever you want along the way.
Tip #6: Leave notes
Remember when your mom used to leave you notes in your lunches? These are sweet even when you’re an adult, so spend a quick minute and leave your sweetie a note in her lunch, in her car, or maybe even on her bathroom mirror.
Tip #7: Call just to say “hello.”
Too many phone calls are made for a purpose – but, what’s the harm in just calling to say hello? It just might brighten her day.
Tip #8: Make her a summer playlist
Make a CD or playlist of any songs that you love or something that will trigger a memory of the two of you together.
Tip #9: Do her favorite activity with her
Whether she enjoys playing tennis, watching a girly movie, or getting a massage, spend an evening doing an activity that’s close to her heart. It’ll be a great bonding experience.
Tip #10: Take a weekend away
Research nearby day trips and take your lady on a weekend excursion. You could find a cute bed & breakfast and discover things about a new city.
Tip #11: Tell her she’s beautiful.
This is one of the easiest things you can do to be romantic. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing – just turn to her and tell her she’s beautiful. Trust us, she’ll love it. 🙂
