Little Steps to Healthier Skin

We all want to love the skin we are in, but that seldom happens. Who to blame for the skin problems we face? Sometimes its our busy life, sometimes its the pollution and mostly our bad habits. Here are some few tips that one can follow to a greater looking and youthful skin.
Sleep well – Sleep on your back and not the face planted on a pillow. Sleep on time and on a regular eight hour basis. This will give you better looking skin in no time.
Try taking supplements – Studies show that Vitamin D is good for the skin and can help you lower the risks of having cancer.  There is no harm in trying supplements because it is considered as alternative medicine. Just make sure you consult a doctor or look at the ingredients and information included. You can at least take 10,000-unit capsule once a week according to experts.
Skip straws – Studies show that puckering your lips contributes to getting wrinkles in your mouth.
Change your towels. Do not overuse towels in the bathroom. At least change it every 3 days to avoid getting dirt on your face.
Use moisturizers.  Slather on moisturizers on your dry skin and you can try the old dermatologist trick of wrapping it with plastic wraps and let them steep for an hour to let the ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin.
Do not smoke. Smoking causes wrinkles because it restricts blood vessels, it can prevent oxygen and nutrients from getting to the skin — which is why you will notice that smokers often appear pale and unhealthy. Studies have also linked smoking to an increased risk of getting a type of skin rash called psoriasis.
Always clean your face. Do not allow dirt, pollution, and other harmful substances to consume on your face. Build up of dirt and grime can lead to premature aging, blemishes, pimples and even wrinkles.
